My current life is nothing short of a miracle, and I hope it serves as an inspiration to you. Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined that becoming totally disabled would become a gift, opening doors to an amazing opportunity to help others. I have incorporated my wide-ranging life experiences, challenges, and coach training into a comprehensive Mental Fitness Coaching program.
I was born in New York City, where the streets were my playground.
We played every classic NYC street game—stickball, punch ball, slap ball, ringolevio—along with baseball, football, basketball, and street hockey. Those streets taught me resilience, but life at home was far from carefree. It was turbulent, filled with conflict, and as a small, skinny kid, I often found myself the target of bullies, both in the neighborhood and at school. The fear, anxiety, and anger I felt became heavy companions, shadows that followed me through my early years.
From the bustling streets of NYC to the quiet countryside of rural Maryland, and eventually to the sunny skies of Southern California, my journey exposed me to worlds that couldn’t have been more different. Sports became my sanctuary—an outlet for the emotions I struggled to express. In high school, I poured myself into basketball, soccer, and track, and eventually realized my dream of playing basketball at UCLA. After college, I took an unexpected turn, spending a year as an office furniture salesman before finally pursuing a law degree at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles.
After many years of practice as a lawyer and having built a very successful law practice, everything in my life changed in an instant.
A car accident left me severely injured, totally disabled, and forced me to give up my law practice. What followed were eight spinal surgeries, countless invasive pain procedures, and an uphill battle with addiction, depression, and PTSD.
I was desperate for healing. I turned to everything—from traditional western medicine to holistic approaches, from wellness retreats to trauma and recovery centers, even spiritual healers. Every step took me closer, but none brought me the peace I was searching for.
In 2015, a freak injury shattered me completely.
I lost faith. I lost hope. And I almost lost my life.
But in 2016, thanks to my family, my friends, and the unwavering support of a sponsor who became my mentor and coach, I found a path forward—one that helped me heal physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. The journey wasn’t without challenges, but I learned to see every hardship as a gift, every setback as an opportunity to grow into the person I am today - the gift of transformation.
These experiences inspired me to help others, leading me to become a Certified Health and Life Coach, and most recently, a Positive Intelligence-Trained Mental Fitness Coach. Mental fitness training has been a true game-changer, giving me a sense of control over my thoughts and emotions I never knew I could have.
My mission now is to help others find that same sense of empowerment.
